AUDITION
What ages should audition?
auditions are open to ages 9 and up. teens and adults are encouraged to audition.
DO I need to sign up ahead of time?
no need to sign up ahead of time, just show up!
Do i need to show up for both audition nights?
you are welcome to attend both audition nights, but it is not necessary.
what do i need to do for the audition?
the audition will consist of filling out an audition form, singing a one minute cut of a song of your choice (bring sheet music or a digital karaoke track), and reading a short side from the script provided at the audition.
what song should i sing?
you are welcome to sing any song you wish. you are encouraged to choose a song in the style of the production.
when will i know if i've been cast?
the cast list is sent out via email and posted on our website and facebook page by noon the day following the last evening of auditions.
if i am cast, when will rehearsals be?
rehearsals will begin on may 4th, the week following auditions. Rehearsals will be on Mondays, tuesdays, thursdays, and fridays from 6-9pm. there will be a rehearsal with the orchestra on saturday, june 13th at 10am and a dress rehearsal on wednesday, june 17th.
if i am cast, what is the cost to participate?
absolutely nothing! there is no cost to participate. There will be a cast t-shirt available to those who would like to purchase one. they usually run between $15-$20.
